Collection: Hona Leigh Knudsen

Hona Leigh Knudsen is a ceramic artist and production potter working in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. Hona’s current work is wheel thrown porcelain pottery, her influences are both traditional and contemporary, with a strong inspiration from Asian pottery in her forms as well as her glazes. Hona received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from West Virginia University with a focus in ceramics. After receiving a BFA, Hona moved to Floyd, VA where she did a 3-year apprenticeship with renowned ceramic artists Donna Polseno and Richard Hensley. She has been a Studio Potter since 2012 and now lives in Copper Hill, VA where she shares a studio with her husband Josh Manning.
